Jos was returned sometime late last night or early this morning to the barn owners front yard. Who ever stole him painted over his sock and star. Thank you to all that passed the info along. Social media is a wonderful thing.

Horse stolen from Willow Pond Farm in Toano, VA 10/23 late or early 10/24. Someone had come to the barn in the dark, probably early this morning, and stole Jos right out of his stall. NOTHING else was touched!! Last seen about 10:00 pm last night in his stall, happily munching his hay. This morning he was gone. It was clear Jos had been in his stall all night. The stall door closed and latched this morning. All of the gates were closed and chained. There were no signs of any fence or door break. His stall was just empty. And the farm owners were there and they had heard nothing at all, so they must have pulled him out of his stall, closed and latched the gates behind, and walked him down the road to a waiting trailer. I cannot imagine how someone could do this. Whoever did this obviously knew about Jos, they knew his stall, they knew the farm’s schedule, they knew exactly how to take him. They must have had a trailer or some type of transport waiting. I know from experience that it is NOT easy to load him, they must have fed him or drugged him to get him onto transport. I’m completely devastated – PLEASE help me find him. All we can figure is that they targeted Jos so they could sell him. They watched the farm or they have come to the farm, they knew him, they knew the schedule, and they planned this and now he’s gone. Please help me find him!!
