Three Spring 2014 Cornerstone Horsemanship Clinics!

April 19, 2013 ~ 10:00 A.M.
Ranch Horse Clinic (non cattle classes only)

A one day ranch horse clinic focusing on the non-cattle classes, Ranch Horse Pleasure, Ranch Reining, & Ranch Trail - Geared towards riders wanting to compete in AQHA Ranch Horse Pleasure and Stock Horse competitions. Cost for participants is $150 and includes lunch.

•Sessions on each event, Ranch Horse Pleasure, Ranch Reining, & Ranch Trail
• Emphasis on good horsemanship & well rounded, dependable horses
• Discussion on the elements of a good ranch/stock horse and proper equipment
• How to maximize scores through presentation and precision



April 26 & 27, 2014 Stock Horse Rookie Weekend

Geared towards riders wanting to compete in Ranch Versatility and Stock Horse competitions. Also beneficial for those competing in Cowboy Challenges. Saturday & Sunday sessions will begin at 10:00 A.M. Cost for participants is $300. Price includes lunch both days and panel stall in camping area. Cowboy Church Sunday morning at 9:00.

•Classes addressed will include Ranch Horse Pleasure, Ranch Cutting, Ranch Trail, Ranch Reining, Ranch Roping, and Working Cow Horse
•Emphasis on good horsemanship & well rounded, dependable horses
• Discussion on the elements of a good ranch/stock horse and proper equipment
• How to maximize scores through presentation and precision
•Work with the mechanical cow and live cattle



May 3 & 4, 2014 Cowboy Camp

A fun and informative weekend for riders of all levels to learn more about cowboy ranch work. No experience with cattle is necessary and you do NOT need to know how to rope. Rider must have enough riding ability to walk, trot, lope, and stop their horse.
Saturday & Sunday sessions will be 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Cost for participants is $300. Price includes lunch both days and panel stall in camping area. Cowboy Church Sunday morning at 9:00.

•How to start a horse on cattle, track and move cattle, sorting & penning cattle
• Better understanding of basic cattle handling abilities & reading cattle
• Introducing your horse to roping & dragging, and basic roping skills
• Cowboy campfire & potluck dinner Saturday night (participants and non participants invited)
• Cowboy competitions each day



Non-participants are welcome to come to any clinic and observe at no charge.
