Our Internship Program is oriented to those who are looking to learn more about the horse industry and training as a career, with emphasis on advanced horsemanship for all disciplines. Cornerstone Horsemanship specializes in starting horses under saddle, working cow horse/stock horse, ranch pleasure/ranch riding, trail challenges, and versatility ranch horses. Interns must be reliable, hard working, honest, and willing to accept responsibility. This is an opportunity to advance horsemanship skills with young and finished horses, enhance employment qualifications, and earn an excellent reference for a job well done. Showing the horses is a possibility for interns that have the right qualifications.
Unlike other intern or apprentice programs, there is no fee for our program. In exchange for room and board, and the valuable and detailed training you will receive as an intern, you will be expected to help care for the horses and facility.
This is a live-in, unpaid position at an alcohol, drug, and smoke free, Christian facility. Prior riding experience is a must and a 6 month minimum commitment is required (1 year is preferred). Applicants must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen or hold a visa that allows you to legally work in the U.S.
