My goal as a farrier is to improve the soundness and health of your horse and allow their hooves to function properly. The horse is my primary client. I'm insistent that horses be kept in a species appropriate manner and are regularly seen by a knowledgeable veterinarian. I use several mapping techniques to restore balance and correct distortions.

While recognizing that each limb affects the others and the rest of the body, I treat each hoof as an individual. I understand that there are many factors that influence the soundness of your horse, and I am happy to discuss them with you during your appointment.


I trim well-behaved standard horses, ponies, donkeys, mules, and minis. I also trim other livestock so long as they can be restrained by the owner.

I prioritize proper movement and primarily serve barefoot horses, but I do utilize boots, polyurethane shoes, glue, casts, and nails in my practice where appropriate.
