LOCATION:
Located in Fluvanna County, Virginia. 30 minutes southeast of Charlottesville. Close to Lake Monticello, Palmyra, Zions Crossroads and Scottsville.
FOCUS:
Full board focusing on the needs of the adult, English discipline rider. We pride ourselves on the individual care of each horse. I've frequently been told we are the best boarding facility they have ever boarded at and because of the attention to detail they never worry about their horses.
FACILITY:
We are a small, private facility.
12x12, eight stall, concrete, center-aisle barn.
Matted stalls with windows or Dutch doors in the back of each stall that make the barn bright and airy.
AC/Heated tack room.
Bathroom.
Washer/dryer for boarders use (please provide you own detergent), large refrigerator.
Large, airy, inside wash stall with hot/cold water and heat lamp.
Heated water buckets in the winter and fans in the summer.
Pastures with lush grass. 3 board wood fencing and run-in shed.
Large, well-draining, outdoor arena (210'x110')
Full course of jumps.
Room to ride out.
Owner lives on property and has extensive experience.
Full board includes:
Daily turn out. Horses are turned out at night in the summer and daytime in the winter. We do not turn out during the heat of the day - instead we wait until later in the evening when it is cooler.
Quality hay provided to suit the individual needs of each horse.
Fresh, filtered water provided in stalls and pastures.
Holding for farrier, vet.
Daily stall cleaning and fresh pine shavings.
Owner provided supplements fed.
Fly masks, fly spray, bell boots, sheets and blankets are taken on and off accordingly.
