A schooling show is considered a starting point for amateur riders and horses; a stepping stone where they build their skills and confidence in order to earn the chance to compete in premiere international competition such as the Washington International Horse Show which will be held this year at the Verizon Center starting October 24th.

“Olympic medal riders such as our own Joe Fargis begin their careers in this area at schooling shows,” says Maureen Hanley, Director of Fox Chase Farm and Board Member of the Washington International Horse Show, “These schooling shows are an important step to top competitions like The Washington International Horse Show and we are dedicated in providing that stepping stone… We are already working on the next season and hope to see all the riders on January 13, 2007!
