Berryville, VA – Evergreen Farm’s purebred Arabian stallion KKoi received national recognition during the 2006 show season without ever stepping in the ring himself. While recovering from a potentially life-ending injury, one of KKoi’s first foals, now a three-year old mare, received numerous awards at A circuit shows from Lexington, VA to Syracuse, NY. Thanks to EF KKlassique Beauty, KKoi is now nationally ranked as a top sport horse producing sire. KKoi was is one of only twenty-six stallions nation wide to have two offspring receive Top Ten honors at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals and was the youngest of that group, at only six years old.

KKoi suffered a broken coffin bone, a small but vital bone in the horse’s foot, in December 2005. His lengthy recovery, requiring several months of restrictive stall rest, prevented KKoi from showing at all during the 2006 show season. Fortunately, EF KKlassique Beauty was ready to take his place and represent Evergreen Farm on the both the Arabian and Open show circuits.

Among “Beauty’s” achievements during the 2006 show season were a sixth place at the prestigious 153rd Upperville Colt and Horse Show. She was the first openly purebred Arabian to ribbon in the Pony Breeding section of the oldest continuous horse show in the country. Fresh from her win at Upperville, Beauty achieved several championships on the Arabian circuit including two Top Three’s at the Region 16 Arabian Championship in Syracuse, NY. Her win at Region 16 qualified her for the most prominent Arabian horse show east of the Mississippi – East Coast Championships. After competing against the top horses from Maine to Florida, Beauty was named East Coast Reserve Champion Sport Horse Mare. The success she has enjoyed this year has qualified her for the 2007 Arabian Sport Horse Nationals to be held at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia.

“Beauty exceeded all our expectations this year,” said Pam Dors, owner of Evergreen Farm. “In each show, she was representing not only herself, but also KKoi and Evergreen Farm, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. 2007 should be an exciting year as she gets started on the Arabian circuit under saddle.” Evergreen Farm plans to campaign Beauty as a Junior Sport Horse Mare.

Beauty gave a taste of what can be expected in 2007 at the Blue Ridge Arabian Horse Association’s Maryland Fall Futurity Horse Show. In a very full championship class with more than 20 of the top horses in the region, she was named Reserve Champion.

Evergreen Farm is a small Arabian breeding farm in northern Clarke County specializing in breeding quality Arabian sport horses for the amateur owner and rider. The farm is proud to stand KKoi (Fairview Klassique x Sequoia Bey), a 15.1 hand chestnut purebred Arabian stallion who has several offspring winning on the A circuit. He is the youngest stallion to have two offspring achieve Top Ten placings at the Arabian Sport Horse Nationals and has achieved success in his own right in the halter, sport horse and dressage arenas.
