I will be relocating to the Newport News area with my Husband in April '21, and am seeking equine associated employment in the area.

Having emigrated from the UK to be with my husband, I am a Green Card holder and do not require any further sponsorship. The 2.5 year wait for Citizenship means I cannot return to my normal military aviation role owing to security clearance requirements, so I would like to explore working with horses. A working student position would be welcome, although I am a little older than the normal working student!

My experience includes:
- English riding to a low level, owning and loaning my own horses
- Some Western riding
- A little side saddle
- Main experience with thoroughbred racehorses, some work riding (when I was younger and lighter) in a P2P yard
- General grooming, rugging, watering, feeding
- Barn chores
- Turning out etc
- Lunging

I do not consider my riding to be good enough to school or train a horse, but I am willing to learn. I am 35, fit, 5'6 and 135lbs. Currently I am volunteering at a local Arabian showing barn and am thoroughly enjoying learning what is involved with training and developing youngsters.

Own transport, punctual, professional and committed to working hard to ensure horses have the best of care.
