We have two spots open for field board at North River stables, located in Mt Crawford. We are convenient to Bridgewater, Weyers Cave, Grottoes, and Harrisonburg. We are a quiet and relaxed boarding facility that offers field board with a mixed herd. The ability to add special care can be discussed for a potential increase in price. Board price includes hay and grain as needed, feedings in the evening, and access to all the facilities.

Facilities include the barn with tack lockers for each boarder and every horse has their own stall. We have a ring off the barn with jumps, and also jumps in the fields surrounding the barn. There is a round pen for more training opportunities also. Boarders regularly hack down the quiet roads around the farm and the gravel roads surrounding the area.

Horses are turned out 24/7 except during evening feeding when they're brought into separate stalls or during bad weather. If another arrangement is desired it is something we can look into accommodating, we are flexible.

The current boarders at NRS have been boarding from 4-9 years and often ride and train together. There is a trainer on site if needed, outside trainers are also welcome. Boarders compete in a range of disciplines including; Eventing, Show Jumping, Dressage, Hunters, Endurance, and occasional on fox hunts. All disciplines have show grounds within a very easy and short drive. This is a very friendly barn looking to add two new farm family members!
