We are a boutique 12-stall dressage training facility located in Esmont, VA (25 minutes south of Charlottesville) seeking to add a Sport Horse Groom to our team. We require an experienced, responsible and organized individual to work side by side with our Barn Manager/Head Groom to carry out daily horse care and barn chores including feeding, stall cleaning, turn-out, grooming and tacking up and cooling down. In addition, this individual will be expected to provide additional therapies such as icing, bandaging, theraplate, hand-walking and hand-grazing. This groom may have additional (weekend) opportunities to come to shows and prep horses for the dressage show ring including braiding. This is not a riding position but for the experienced rider there may be opportunities to exercise and trail ride. Our resident trainer is George Williams and we do have trailer in clients as well as more permanent full training and short stay clients. We go to Wellington from December through March and for the right candidate there is an opportunity to join us in Florida. Mon to Fri - 5 days/week starting from 7.30 to 4.30. 40 hours/week at $15/hour.
