Cabernet is a Canadian warmblood gelding standing at 17 hands high. This in-your-pocket gelding has good bone, can carry any sized rider, and has three great gaits.
In the ring, Cabernet has good movement, knows how to extend and collect, and has auto changes. Cabernet is happy to do poles on the ground, trot cross rails, or jump a bigger fence. He has experience showing in the jumpers and has also evented.
On the trails, Cabernet is happy to lead, follow, or go in the middle of the group. He crosses water, bridges, logs, and is sure-footed. He has evented, foxhunted first and second flight, and has been to hunter paces. Cabernet is great to trailer and will stand tied.
In the barn or in the field, Cabernet is quiet and will go out in a mixed herd. He has lived in a stall and out 24/7; he does well with both. He is easy to catch in the field. He stands quietly in the cross ties and loves to be groomed. Cabernet stands to be clipped and braided and stands well for the vet and farrier.
Cabernet has done extensive roadwork and is highly trained in traffic safety. He goes away from the group without a fuss and has been used to gather hounds and has been ridden to hounds in an independent manner (gone away from the group to open/close gates, whipped in, etc).
Cabernet is sure to get you compliments and can go in any direction with his new rider. He truly loves attention, gets along with mares or geldings, and does well off property.
