Shane Roars is a 15.3h, 12 year old OTTB who raced a whopping 95 times. I've had him for about two years now, he's had several months of professional training and is a pretty talented, athletic little guy.

Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with moderate kissing spine last winter. His back got injected with PRP and he successfully completed a rehab program, but I think he would prefer to have an easier job than I was hoping for him. He's great on a trail, has some talent for dressage, can jump the moon and is an all-around pleasant guy. However, he's not a dead head, and occasionally he likes to be sassy so he is not for a beginner.

I think Shane would like someone who is going to do a bit of everything with him, who will listen to him when he's just having a day (which are few and far between the longer he is off the track). I also think he is a great candidate for clicker training or liberty work - he's super smart and will do almost anything for a cookie.

I'm open to pretty much any kind of situation - half lease on site, full lease somewhere, need a horse for your working student, home from college for the summer? I just want him to be happy. He is currently sitting in my mom's field with our two retired mares and he looks great, but he seems really bored.
