Virginia Norwegian Fjord Horse Evaluation and Fjestival

Many of you have followed our adventures with horses over the years. We are pleased to announce an opportunity to see our Fjords in action this summer. We will be hosting and attending the Norwegian Fjord Horse Registry Virginia Evaluation on August 18 & 19, 2007 at Frying Plan Park in Herndon, VA.
An Evaluation is NOT a horse show, but rather a test of individual horses against the breed standard for conformation and performance. Every horse has a chance of winning a blue ribbon. There will be approximately 30 Fjords from six states coming for the Evaluation. The performance tests are in English riding, Western riding, driving and draft at both introductory and advanced levels. The performance tests showcase the versatility of the Fjord breed.
The 3rd Annual Virginia Fjord Fjestival, which is a sales event, will run in conjunction with the Evaluation. There will be sale horses available for public inspection, as well as demonstrations of harnessing and horse care. We'll also have a food vendor on-site, but Frying Pan Park also offers ample picnic areas and a model farm.
