This week, with the release of its Grand Prix Series I line of premium jumps, Foxy Jumps has announced schooling classes over A-circuit level courses comprised of the jump elements from this line of jump products. The FEI derby-style (i.e. Spruce Meadows style) courses are to be held on a groomed derby field in Lovettsville, VA, where the course is currently arranged.
Classes are organized in a training format where riders may select from a number of courses devised for the arrangement of jumps on the derby field, so that they may select courses appropriate for their desired level of training. Course complexity ranges from basic A-circuit classes over ten jumps to courses spanning up to 14 jumps for practice with M&S and NAL type jumper classic, big equitation classes, and national finals classes, as well as international level competitions.
The classes are organized by level starting at level 3 and up. (The height of many of the GP jump elements requires heights of 3'6" as a starting point for rails.) The Foxy Jumps schooling series, is perhaps the only schooling series in the Mid-Atlantic region that offers comprehensive training courses for upper division jumpers through Grand Prix.
The course designs vary in complexity and are rated based upon the complexity, ranging from one star courses with simple A-circuit courses (with perhaps two simple combinations and relatively simpler navigation) through five star courses that are international / olympic level courses with appropriate complexity of combinations, related distances, and navigation of jumps and terrain (available to expert, professional riders only).
Classes are organized by appointment. The course is also available for viewing, by appointment only. The format is a training format and the classes are not held as an open show. Riders and trainers interested in obtaining further information on the Foxy Jumps schooling series should contact Foxy Jumps at (540) 822-9936 or email them at FoxyJumps@yahoo.com
