Greetings! Virginia Equestrian hopes that everyone had a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Purging Old Classifieds

We’ll be removing old classifieds from the website on Friday, November 30, 2007. All ads posted before September 1, 2007 will be removed. If you have an ad that is older than that date, but you would like it to remain on the site, please take a moment to remove & repost it. Only old classifieds will be removed; our Green Page listings will remain, as will any upcoming calendar events and articles. Of course, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me!

Getting the most out of Virginia Equestrian:

We want to make sure that everyone is aware of all of the features available to our registered users. In addition to our great FREE classifieds, we also have a Calendar of Events, our Green Page listings (business listings) and you can even add your own articles to the site. All of these can be found on your own homepage of the site once you have logged into your user account. If you place an event on the calendar, please be sure to add a press release if you have. Also, if you place a classified on the site for a business service, be sure to add your company to our Green Pages (business listings) if you haven’t done so already. The Green Pages are never deleted from the site (unless you delete your listing of course).

Sorting and Searching the Classifieds and Green Page Listings

With more and more ads on the site each week, we also want to make sure you are aware of the different ways to sort & search on the site. When you are looking at the classifieds, you can search for keywords as well as specific cities in the state. To use our “Search” feature, just click on the link at the top of any classified page on the site.

In the classifieds, there is also an option to view 60-1000 listings at a time. The default is 60 but you can use the pull-down bar to have more than 60 appear on the page.

If you would like to sort our Green Pages by Company Name, City, or area code, you can do so by clicking the column name (“Name,” “City,” or “Phone”) at the top of each Green Page.

Problems uploading photos

I’ve heard from a few people that they are having problems uploading photos to the site. VE does apologize for the hassle, and we’re trying to determine what is happening and fix it as soon as possible. In the meantime, if the photos won’t upload on your initial posting, please try to log out & back in and try uploading the photo again (and/or once the ad has been approved). If this still doesn’t work, you can email the photo to me, but PLEASE send me photo files that are under 2 megs if possible.

Support our Advertisers!

And last but definitely not least, please be sure to SUPPORT OUR BANNER ADVERTISERS. They are what keeps the site FREE for all of our users!! Be sure to tell them you saw their ad on VirginiaEquestrian.com!

Thanks Again!
