Traveller’s Rest Equine Elders Sanctuary hosting Reiki workshop, by Janet Dobbs, Reiki Master and Animal Communication Specialist

Where: Traveller’s Rest Equine Elders Sanctuary, Spotsylvania, VA
Originated in Japan in the early 1900's, Reiki is a gentle, holistic energy healing system that works on all levels of the body: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Reiki is used at hundreds of American hospitals to speed healing and relieve pain for surgery patients, and in other hospital programs, including cancer treatment regimes.
Janet Dobbs, seeking ways to deepen the human-animal bond, is a Usui Reiki master teacher and practitioner. Janet is also educated and skilled in Healing Touch, small animal massage, acupressure for animals, homeopathy for animals, animal nutrition, and Bach flower essences and often works with veterinarians in providing care for her animal clients.
April 19 and 20, at Traveller’s Rest Equine Elders Sanctuary near Fredericksburg, VA, Janet will offer a Reiki Level I workshop, to introduce students who want to deepen their relationships with animals to basic Reiki techniques through lecture, enlightening discussion, exercises, observation and practice.
Workshop participants will learn the system of Japanese Reiki and the differences, as well as the similarities, between Reiki for humans and Reiki for animals. On the first day of the workshop, students will receive two manuals and Reiki I attunements, learn how to give a Reiki self-treatment and practice giving and receiving full human Reiki treatments. On day two, students will practice with some of the sanctuary’s resident horses. Upon completion of the workshop, students will receive a Reiki level I practitioner certificate.
Cost: $250. Class size is limited.
