Large Cash Giveaway for Low-Level Horse Show Competition is First of Its Kind in Northern Virginia

MIDDLEBURG, VIRGINIA (April 24, 2008) — Fox Chase Farm's $12,000 T.C.H. Fox Chase Show series is in full swing with the next show scheduled in the outdoor arena for Saturday April 26th featuring a PONY SHOW starting at 8:00am.

Fox Chase Farm staff and Hanley Family are proud that this show series has set the trend by raising the standard of the schooling show. They are really proud of the fact that this series has drummed up the excitement that had been previously missing on the local level before they began awarding high stakes prizes since 2006. In their 8th year of hosting shows, Fox Chase Farm will continue to raise that standard every year.

Fox Chase is excited to announce that one of the sponsors, Pony Mania will be on site Saturday, selling items from their new store in Bluemont. Also, Joel Lunsford from Showpictures.net will be on site with great shots from shows past; and of course will be taking pictures at all of the shows as the official show photographer. Also, Culinary Delights By Feist from Leesburg is always available selling WONDERFUL homemade food like blueberry pancakes and other great food items.

Exhibitors and their horses and ponies have been competing since January 2008 and are in a close race to the last shows in September to win a total of $12,000 and year-end prizes. Prize money will be awarded to the overall highest point riders in both horse and pony shows, as well as prize money to their hard working trainers. This close race should not deter new exhibitors, as the series awards prizes at every show.

Points are always available to view on the official media sponsor's website: VirginiaEquestrian.com (A great big THANK YOU to VE for their wonderful support of this sport!)

A schooling show is considered a starting point for amateur riders and horses; a stepping stone where they build their skills and confidence in order to earn the chance to compete in premiere international competitions.

“Olympic medal riders such as our own Joe Fargis begin their careers in this area at schooling shows,” says Maureen Hanley, Director of Fox Chase Farm and former board member of the Washington International Horse Show, “These schooling shows are an important step to top competitions like The Washington International Horse Show and we are dedicated in providing that stepping stone.

Fox Chase Farm is an events and boarding facility located on Route 50 (John Mosby Hwy) two miles east of the town of Middleburg VA. For more information, visit www.foxchasefarm.net or call (540) 687-5255.

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS!
