MARE CENTER YEARLING AUCTION COMING UP

The 17th annual yearling auction conducted by Virginia Tech's MARE Center will be held on Sunday, October 12th at 2 p.m. Inspections will start that same morning at 10 a.m. As always, the sale will be conducted at the Middleburg facility and all 24 yearlings will be sold without reserves.

Sires of yearlings be offered include: Balls Bluff, Black Tie Affair (IRE), Castle Cove, Cocky, Daylight Run, Fred Astaire, Great Notion, Fun and Fancy Free, Oratory, Rock Point and Native Slew.

All the yearlings are registered with the Virginia Thoroughbred Breeders Fund, and all proceeds benefit equine nutrition research at the MARE Center.
