Large Animal Rescue Training to be held at the Mare Center

The Middleburg Agricultural Research and Extension Center (MARE Center) will host a Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue raining (TLAER) three day event on May 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2009.

Drs. Thomas and Rebecca Gimenez, both of whom will be instructing during this event, manage the TLAER Organization. TLAER offers training nationwide for members of the emergency response community. This course brings together in three days the latest concepts and equipment used today to help rescue large animals from emergencies.

Over 40 emergency responders, veterinarians, and interested horse owners from Northern Virginia and surrounding areas have already signed up for the program.
