Upcoming Pasture Management Program for Horse Owners

Pasture, weed and land management is pivotal for horse operations in order to properly manage their horses and farms for optimal health and performance. Virginia Cooperative Extension is hosting a program with Tri-County Farm Services LLC on Saturday August 29th from 9am to 1pm on Pasture Management for Horse Owners.

Hand-on discussions and demonstrations will be offered on the following:

„X Parasite Control Programs
„X Nutrient Management

Get your questions answered by some of the experts in the field of agronomy! Scott Pugh is the Agronomist for Tri-County Farm Services LLC in Berryville, VA. Scott has extensive experience managing forage and designing fertilization, seeding and management strategies for horse farms. Donna Foulk, with Penn State Cooperative Extension, has years of experience teaching weed identification, control and management. Finally, Harrison Equine PLLC will be covering the new AAEP guidelines on parasite control for your farm.
