Saddle Fitting gone High Tech
Submitted by: Shelby Friml For those of us who have been through dozens of saddles and still question correct fit, there is a new business that uses pressure mapping to measure that saddle against that horse with you, the rider. EQUI Mapping Saddle Fit Evaluation has used pressure mapping for two years now with great success for all types of riding. Especially valuable is the unthered dynamic (moving ridden) version of scanning where the horses movements and riders posture can be seen on the screen. Trainers, vets, anyone who rides can now DO SOMETHING about their fit. Saddles that can be reflocked are easy both see and change fit, however all the other catagories are very difficult at best to see, never mind change or alter fit.
