Christian Schacht, DVM, is a prominent German veterinarian, breeder, trainer and riding instructor. He also holds the prestigious position of Breeding Director for the International Sporthorse Registry and Oldenburg Registry North America. The author of several books on equine care, soundness and training, Dr. Schacht spends nearly half his year in the United States as a judge, clinician and lecturer. He brings a unique perspective on the development of riding through European history, which was the subject of his doctoral research.
