Custom homebuilder Anthony Clatterbuck of Graystone Homes, Inc. is in the process of developing a 120-acre equestrian community. Situated off of Hudson Mill Road in Reva, the exclusive 8-lot community will offer equestrians the perfect blend of country living and the convenience of living within minutes of town.

The project is one near to the builder’s heart. Having grown up in the area and lived on the estate that is to become the community, Clatterbuck has a strong desire for the property to retain its country atmosphere.

Clatterbuck considered selling the property as a whole, but then decided create the community himself to ensure that the estate would retain its beauty and charm.

When asked about the decision to create an equestrian community Clatterbuck states, “True equestrian property is in short supply and Culpeper is quickly maturing into an extension of Virginia’s Horse Country to our north.”

The decision to develop an equestrian estate community was also due in part to his daughter’s love of horses and the ideal location of the property. The location is ideal for avid equestrians, as it is convenient to both the Shenandoah National Park and Commonwealth Park, a vital component of the H.I.T.S. show circuit. It is also situated in the heart of Culpeper’s foxhunt country.

The community is a horse-lover's dream with its 10+ acre lots of gently rolling hills, scenic forests, and meandering streams. The community features 4 miles of public access riding trails. Restrictive covenants will be put into place ensuring that the community remains a safe haven for horses and the people who enjoy them.

With lots already beginning to sell, the community is expected to be tremendously popular with the growing number of urban equestrians who desire the urban lifestyle with accommodations for their love of horses.

Open house and equine fun days featuring food, refreshments, and (of course) horses will be held on August 6th from 10am to 4pm. A moonwalk, petting zoo, and horseback rides are planned.
