We receive emails from people who are having problems uploading their photos to Virginia Equestrian. Generally these issues can be solved simply by taking one of the actions mentioned below.
Please only upload photos with a ".jpg" file extension. Quite often the problem is that the file is a .bmp or a .pdf or another type of file that VE cannot accept. Only photos with a .jpg (or .jpeg) file extension will be accepted.
Please make sure your file name contains ONLY numbers and letters, and has no spaces or odd characters such as #, &, @, etc in it.
If you are still having difficulties, please try changing the name of the photo by doing a "save as" from your file menu. There are so many photos on VE these days, that we're having a problem with duplicate photo/file names on the site. If someone already has a photo on the site named "tack.jpg" for example, and someone else tries to load a photo with the same file name, an error will occur. Please make the file name as specific/unique as possible.
We also recommend uploading images no larger than 1MB in size (1,000K). If you still get an error, please try resizing your images to a smaller overall height and width, which will make the images smaller in their overall file size.
