Superior quality images can be obtained on the farm, and the images sent to the surgeons as needed. Keep your horse at home and send the data. Radiographs are traditionally taken for bone and joint issues (like arthritis), and ultrasound better defines the elusive "soft tissue" diagnosis (like tendon/ligament issues and sprains).
