As exhilarating as horseback riding can be it also has risks that come with it. These risks not only affect the riders themselves but the friends and family who are left at home as well. That is why Ride-Alert USA is pleased to announce its support for the Riders4Helmets campaign.

"The Riders4Helmets campaign is a wonderful initiative that has gone from strength to strength in the past three years and a joint partnership is a natural fit with us each having an end goal of improving rider safety," said Anita Hasbury-Snogles, Founder Ride-Alert USA. "No one wants to be involved in a horse riding accident but unfortunately paramedics are called to riding accidents all too frequently each week. By joining Ride-Alert you are allowing yourself to be identified quickly and for the emergency services to learn of any medical conditions or allergies that may affect your treatment. It also means your family can be informed as soon as you're found rather than being left worried at home."

Ride-Alert, a Virginia-based partner of the AlertID Group, has been providing identification support services in the UK for over 15 years. Ride-Alert is an identification service that has been developed to provide peace of mind for riders and their families. As well as providing visible identification products for riders, horses and property, there is also the added comfort of having a 24/7 Emergency Support Team on call and ready to assist in any emergency situation. Ride Alert provides a simple online means to identify you and your horse and to record your medical and emergency contact details for later use by anyone who may need them in the event of an accident or illness. At a cost of only $24.99, which includes first year of registration for ANY size family, equestrians simply cannot afford not to enroll.

Ride-Alert were represented at the 4th Riders4Helmets Safety Symposium on Saturday February 2, 2013, at the Kentucky Horse Park to educate attendees on the importance of rapid identification in the event of an accident while riding, competing, or traveling to shows. Ride-Alert are also donating a percentage of all annual registrations and devices purchased in 2013 to Riders4Helmets. To learn more about the service or to register, visit http://www.ridealert.us

About Ride-Alert

Ride-Alert is an identification service that has been developed to provide peace of mind for riders and their families. As well as providing visible identification products for riders, horses and property, there is also the added comfort of having a 24/7 Emergency Support Team on call and ready to assist in any emergency situation.

When you register with Ride-Alert you will be asked to fill in a detailed profile about yourself, which can include your contact, next of kin and medical information as well as a crisis plan to be carried out in emergencies. This information can be accessed by the Emergency Support Team through a unique ID number on your Ride-Alert products and relayed to the emergency services if necessary. This information could prove vital if you are involved in an accident, especially if you have any medical conditions or allergies to any medication. You can also include information about your horses, your stable or livery yard location, contact details and who should be informed if your horse is found, as well as valuable property which can be identified by using our Helmet & Property Tags.
