The Socially Distant Jumper Show

First show begins May 10 and finishes May 16 with the tallying and posting of results on Sunday, May 17.

Gear up for the coming reopening of traditional shows with this special, socially distant, jumper show. Have the warm-up all to yourself - great for inexperienced horses and riders!

How it works: The courses remain set throughout the show period (one week from Sunday through Saturday) at Jennifer Lee Jumpers in The Plains. Riders/trainers submit their entries and book a time to arrive. No other riders or trainers will be booked in for that time slot. Half an hour will be allowed between the arrival and departure of each stable.

Warm-ups and showing will be conducted like a normal show. The difference between the Socially Distant Jumper Show and regular shows is that times and faults will be compared with others who jump the same courses at the same heights over the course of the week.

Results: Will be posted to the Jennifer Lee Jumpers Facebook page on May 17.

Heights offered: Itty Bitty, 18", 2', 2'3", 2'6", 2'9", 3', 3'3", 3'6", 3'9"

Fees: $10 office fee; $15 per class

The following week, May 17 to 23, will feature a show hunter course. This is unjudged, but otherwise follows the same format as the jumper show.

How to enter: Text 540-364-6333 for entries, scheduling and payment. Coggins and Liability Release required. Helmets required when mounted at all times.

Series-end awards will honor riders and trainers.

Jumpers: May 10-16, May 24-30, June 7-13, June 21-27

Hunters: May 17-23, May 31-June 6, June 14-20, June 28-July 4
