To say that Jane Savoie is a major player in the horse industry is an understatement. When the organizers of Equine Event East, (a new show featuring thousands of equine products, demonstrations, clinics and seminars along with a variety of horses), began selecting industry experts, Jane was one of the first in the industry that came to mind. Her experiences as a dressage competitor, coach, instructor, trainer, speaker and author make her truly unique. As one of the most recognized names in dressage Jane Savoie has a long roster of impressive accomplishments. She has been a member of the United States Olympic Equestrian Team and has competed for the United States in Canada, Holland, France, Belgium and Germany. She was the reserve rider for the bronze medal winning Olympic dressage team in Barcelona, Spain. She has been long-listed by the USET with several horses and has won nine Horse of the Year awards and three National Freestyle Championships.
Jane was the 1996 Olympic dressage coach for the Canadian 3-Day Event Team in Atlanta. She has coached several top dressage and 3-Day Event riders in their preparations for the 2000 Olympics and while in Sydney she helped rider Susan Blinks secure a bronze medal for the United States Dressage Team.
Jane Savoie has written four books that have been published both in the U.S. and abroad. Her best-selling sports psychology book “That Winning Feeling” is in its ninth printing. Her training books, “Cross-Train Your Horse” and “More Cross-Training”, have become popular reference books for all ages. A sequel to “That Winning Feeling”, “It’s Not Just About The Ribbons” came out this past fall. Jane has also produced instructional video tapes and has collaborated on a wide range of other books.
Jane has excelled in helping riders that are struggling with burnout and physical stress by helping look at both the emotional and physical factors effecting them. She has proved an exceptional coach in helping many riders.
Jane joins Richard Strake, Nina Fout, animal communicator Carol Gurney, Dave Seay, Bruce Davidson, Van Manley, Julie Goodnight, Jochen Schleeze, Bob Jeffries and others on March 19-21 from noon to 9 pm on Friday, March 19; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 20; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 21.
Thousands of products will be on display and there will be demonstrations, clinics and seminars throughout the duration of the show. A wide array of horses will be on-site as well.
