Elfenridge Dressage is now taking students for a 5 day beginner horse camp! Open to students from age 8 to 12 for the week of August 11th through the 15th. Conveniently located at Bridlewood Estates Equestrian center; less than 10 minutes from Chesapeake Square Mall.
Elfenridge Horse Camp is taught by experienced horse person Jennifer Hippensteel. She is well qualified, having a Masters Degree in Education, a Level II double certification with American Riding Instructors Association, and an extensive background in horsemanship. Jennifer is a natural teacher and great with both horses and children!
Students will learn horse safety, basic riding skills, basic horsemanship, and more! Activities will include working with and riding horses daily, arts and crafts, and classroom sessions in our air conditioned class room. Elfenridge Horse Camp activities will help your child develop communication skills and confidence, learn how to work within group and team settings, and have a better attitude towards exercise! Horse management skills learned throughout the week will also enable your child to interact with horses on a higher level through adulthood.
Camp will run from 9am to 3pm with early/late pick up available on arrangement. Not restricted to horse owners! We have reliable lesson horses available at very reasonable rates. Entire week course is only $350, including the horse use fee! Riding helmets and boots (with a heel) are required. Helmets are available for rental on a limited basis. Please ask us if you need assistance with these items. Horse camp sessions are limited to a maximum of 6 students, so reserve your spot today!
