Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer Foundation; Fox Chase Farm will host a Ride for the Cure benefit on October 10, 2009, at their spacious hunter/jumper farm in the heart of hunt country. Proceeds from the ride will benefit the Foundation.
The farm reaches out even further to make a difference, inviting Virginia riders and horse lovers to join this philanthropic cause.
On October 10, the Ride for the Cure trail ride will begin at Fox Chase Farm and will then continue to Sunnybank Farm. Sunnybank Farm, owned by Dorothy Smithwick, spans over 1,000 acres and will be available for everyone during the event only. Participants will ride in three different groups; every rider must raise a minimum of $250 and is encouraged to raise more for this worthwhile cause.
At the event’s conclusion, Fox Chase Farm will host a sit-down dinner and silent auction. For those who are unable to join the trail ride, tickets are available for the dinner and evening festivities.
