Viewing Event: River Bend Pony Club COMBINED TRAINING and SCHOOLING SHOW

Date:   Sunday March 7, 2010
Organization:   River Bend Pony Club
Where:   springfield, VA

Dear Potential Competitors,

Due to the conditions that most of us are experiencing this winter, River Bend Pony Club has decided to add some additional schooling divisions to our traditional Combined Test scheduled for Sunday, March 7th at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, VA. The entry deadline for these new non-CT divisions is midnight Friday, March 5th, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until we fill up.

These new non-CT division entries will not be named in our program and will not be awarded ribbons but we hope that you will use them as a schooling experience and a much needed outing for your furry friend. No horse may be entered in more than three dressage and three jumping classes total. If any horse is entered in the regular CT, the CT rides must precede any non-CT rides. The jumping divisions will begin with Training level and work down in height. The general time frames for all divisions will be posted on our web site (http://www.riverbend.ponyclub.org/CT.htm) by 8am on Wednesday, March 3rd. Individual dressage times for the new non-CT divisions will be posted on our web site by 8pm on Saturday, March 6th.

The new non-CT divisions are:

Dressage HC (US Equestrian Federation 2010 Test A at the following levels: Training, Novice, Beginner Novice, Introductory) - means you ride for a judge and your test sheet will be scored but you will not be in the running for any ribbons or placings. - $20 per ride.

Schooling Jumping (3'3", 2'11", 2'7", 2'3", 18") - means you are given three minutes in the jumping arena (at the height you have entered) to do whatever you want; all jumps must be jumped in the direction flagged. It's time in the ring for you to school your pony. Your trainer may join you too! No ribbons or placings will be awarded. - $15 per ride.

Rules and Conditions: Casual attire for all non-CT divisions acceptable. No refunds will be given for these new non-CT divisions. No horse will be allowed to be ridden in more than three dressage rides and three jumping rounds total. RBPC reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the arena immediately if any inappropriate or dangerous behavior is apparent. All other general rules and conditions from our CT prize list apply.

Entries can be sent to Meg Holman, 13520 Granite Rock Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151

Questions still? Contact Meg at theholmans@cox.net or 703-928-4171.

Come join us for a fun day out for you and your pony!

Sincerely,
River Bend Pony Club
