Equestrian Summer Camp
This will be a fun and educational week long day camp for kids 5 to 18. We will be excepting 12
riders and 2 working Students for this week.
Dates and times: August 9 -13, 2010 Drop off is between 8am and 8:30am, Pick up is between
5:30pm and 6pm.
Cost: $200 per rider, $100 per Working Student
*$25 deposit is needed when signing up.
Location: Providence Forge VA
What we will provide:
Each day the kids will ride in a lesson in the morning, then we will have activities, clinics and
chores. In the afternoon we will be riding or going on a field trip to other local equine facilities.
There will be Trail riding, games and other animal education throughout the week.
Friday we will be providing a cook out and the children will be demonstrating what the have
learned between 4pm and 6pm.
What the kids need:
Lunch and 2 snacks, plenty of water and fluids. Also please send a change of clothes in case
they get wet or dirty. The children will need to wear pants and closed toe boots.
Riders: Need to be 5 years old or older and can range from beginner (never ridden before) to
Advanced.
Working Students: 16 years old and older. Need to be able to walk, trot, canter, tack, lunge and
handle a green equine. (This means a show horse in training, but not ready for beginners or
lessons yet.)
