March 18th, 19th and 20th
Aidan O’Connell, Cross country jumping. Aidan is an internationally renowned foxhunter, former Grand Prix show jumping rider, Grand National Steeplechase jockey and professional race horse trainer. He offers a lifetime’s experience in sourcing, instructing and training horses for all levels of riders. In this clinic participants will learn to safely manage and control the risks in cross country riding and jumping. Develop your balance and improve your confidence when jumping and galloping cross country. All levels of riders welcome but must be able to comfortably jump 2’. This is a suitable clinic for all levels of horse and rider but is particularly useful for Foxhunters, Pony Clubbers and Event Riders.
Schedule:
Friday, March 18th evening lecture on principals of safety when riding cross country (all participants are required to attend either this lecture or the one on Saturday morning)
Saturday, March 19th 8:45 AM morning safety lecture. 2’ to 2’6” Group- 10 AM to 12 NOON: Lunch break- 12 NOON to 12:30 PM: 2’6” to 3’ Group- 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM: 3’ + Group- 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
Sunday, March 20th. 2’ to 2’6” Group- 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM: 2’6” to 3’ Group- 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM: Lunch break- 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM: 3’ + Group- 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
Fees:
Full participation only, no partial participation.
$300 per horse (each horse allowed one groom.)
Auditors: $25 per person per day or $50 for all 3 days.
Active Pony Club, 4-H members, and MTF tenants: $260 per horse (each horse allowed one groom.)
Auditors Pony club, 4-H, and MTF tenants: $15 per day.
Registration deadline March 4th. Late fees: $330 per horse, Auditors: $30 per person per day or $60 for 3 days.
Box lunch available from Panera Bread for $12. Must pre-order on clinic registration form.
