The Loudoun Horse Association (LHA) will hold its 6th Annual Tack & Equipment Sale and Auction on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at the Lovettsville Game Club. The Game Club is located at 16 South Berlin Turnpike, in Lovettsville, VA.
The Tack & Equipment Sale and Auction will feature a live auction starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19. Table and vendor sales will open at 9:00 a.m. Door prizes, raffle items and a silent auction will round out the day. The Game Club will be open on Friday February 18, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. for preview of auction consignments and early bird table sales.
A highlight of the event will be a video presentation about the Caisson Platoon Equine Assisted Program at Ft. Myer in Arlington. This program utilizes the horses at Ft. Myer to provide rehabilitative services for servicemen and women wounded in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. The presentation is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
Both the auction and table vendors will offer a wide selection of new and used English and western tack, blankets, stable accessories, equestrian clothing and additional horse related items. Champion Saddlery will again be a major vendor. All members of the public are invited to drop by and enjoy the day. There is no admission fee. Food may be purchased all day.
