Camp Objective
To provide a fun, challenging and safe environment in which to teach children and adults about horses. Instruction in correct equitation, and the fundamentals of horse and pony care and stable management practices. Our camp will make friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
Daily activities consist of riding
lessons (hunt seat equitation, dressage, cross country jumping, show jumping, lunging, and carriage driving), trail riding, swimming, crafts, canoeing, fishing, volleyball, kickball, and hiking. Many interesting topics will be covered during camp week that may include: equine dentistry, basic veterinary care,farrier visits, and participation in our “Camp
Demonstration” at the end of the week.
Camp Overview
Camps are designed for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced riders with certified instructors (American Riding Instructors Assoc., U.S. Eventing Assoc., Natural Horsemanship) to accommodate all skill sets.
We provide quality schooling horses paired for each rider, or campers may bring their own horses for an additional boarding fee of $20 per day.
A.S.T.M./S.E.I. approved helmets are required for juniors and adults while jumping.
Shoes with a heel required for riding.
Tennis shoes required for all other activities.
Campers will need to pack a lunch.
Refreshments provided ( drinks and snacks).
Each participant will receive a group photo and a certificate of merit for horsemanship.
Last day of each camp is “Friends and Family Day!” Campers will ride horses and perform an exhibition for everyone starting at 3 P.M.
