1st Virginia CMSA will be conducting two clinics on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 23rd. at Meadow Event Park (the Virginia State Fairgrounds) in Doswell, VA, just down the road from Kings Dominion. If you've ever wanted to know more about Cowboy Mounted Shooting and how to get into the sport, here's your chance! Friday's clinic is a classroom clinic from 6-8pm and is for riders who are interested in getting into mounted shooting and want to know more about the sport. The clinic is FREE and will cover the basics: rules, equipment (guns, holsters, tack, etc), clothing, starting horses, safety and how to get started. The clinic will be classroom-style and will not include any actual shooting. Saturday's clinic is from 5-8pm and will be for beginner and new shooters to help them and their horses get started. This clinic will cost $50 and will involve shooting. Stalls are available for an additional fee if you wish to stay for the weekend.
We will also have our regular shoots on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23, starting at 9am both days and is free to the public.
