WHY YOU SHOULD COME TO THIS CLINIC
Lester Buckley possesses exceptional breadth of experience and depth of horsemanship skill. He carries an international trainerʼs license in dressage and show jumping from the German FN and breeds and trains warmbloods in Germany and Hawaii.
But what makes Lester different is that he combines this classical European training with mastery of what is commonly called “natural horsemanship,” acquired through extensive early contact with Ray Hunt, years of colt starting and training for the King and Parker ranches, a championship career as a cutting-horse trainer and more.
Lester achieves harmony with his horses regardless of discipline or breed. Not only that, he is an engaging and effective teacher who helps people and their horses work together better too. Adults, children, show horses, trail horses, english and western - all are invited. Help us welcome Lester to our beautiful Virginia horse country!
From Lesterʼs website* (www.BuckleySporthorses.com):
“Lester is one of the most complete and versatile horsemen living.” Robert M. Miller, DVM
“Lester Buckley's knowledgeable, calm presence around people and horses is so grounding. I was humble to be in his clinic, while at the same time felt honored as a horseperson. His teaching approach addresses each individual human and horse where they are at. There is no judgment, there is understanding of where the "partnership" is at and from there Lester opens the doors to further understanding and development of horsemanship. He has a way of sharing his concepts with the horseperson he is working with in a clear and available way. I look forward to the next time I am able to participate in a clinic with him. My horse and I have both moved forward in partnership and communication as we have incorporated several of Lester’s suggestions from his clinic.” Debbie Darrin, dressage rider
