The Elysian Hills Starter Horse Trials and Schooling Shows are a wonderful opportunity to school both horse and rider. We run the competitions in a very relaxed atmosphere. Every emphasis will be placed on safety, fun and completing courses. Flexible entry options allow you to select from the eventing disciplines of dressage, stadium jumping and cross country. If you are technically eliminated in stadium or cross country, we will allow you to continue as long as you and your horse are considered safe. Time permitting; competitors will be allowed to ride the cross country course and stadium a second time. We want you and your horse to have a positive learning experience. Your trainers, family and friends are welcome to come and share your experience.
This is a true schooling opportunity where you can:
* add or delete fences/obstacles as needed for you and your horse
* school young horses and green riders without elimination (with safe riding)
* have coaches and/or leads on cross country
* ride stadium and/or cross country a second time (time permitting)
Entry Options:
* Horse Trial: dressage, stadium jumping and cross country (specify level - placing and ribbons)
* Combined Test: dressage and stadium jumping (specify level - placing and ribbons)
* Single Discipline select one discipline (i.e. stadium) ride course twice or do two dressage tests (specify tests USEF or USDF)
* Two Disciplines: create your own combination of disciplines (for example, stadium and cross country)
